as suggested by ms puddy, puffy decided to blog about her diet plan. this diet plan takes 3 months to complete and hopefully it will have some satisfying result thereafter. the diet began on 030809 and the 1st 2 weeks is the detoxication period. terrible. meals were replaced by fluid diet accompanied by 2 type of pills. plenty of water is required to flash out all the toxins in the body and running to the loo became a favourite pastimes. best part is the output looks kind of cool... as it's GREEN in colour and intestinal like. puddy suggested that a photo should be taken to document it but puffy felt it might be too gross for the viewers. the worst part of this detox period was, craving of food is on high alert but a strong determination is needed. puffy had survive 6 days on fluid. *applauds* . .. disappointingly, puffy has a BBQ gathering session tomorrow with loads of great food @ bedok and not forgetting great friends. BUT puffy decided not to attend and definitely will be *screwed* by all the friends. oh well, it's all for a good COST! . .. after 6 days. .. puffy has dropped 4kg!!!!!!

what a good way to spend the summer? with loads of laughter, alcohol, gossips, nonsence and great friends. of cos, it's all because the queen was back for 3 weeks and we spent many moment together catching up while having foot massage and over a glass of beer! a little family reunion made complete when the londoners came back on the day before queen is scheduled to fly back to state. nice little family gathering complete with light music. Summer came to a close with great music by the londoner and cubaner under the starry sky @ T2 with a touch of prata @ the spice in wee hour. SWEET. ..

Recently, after a dinner party with some random friends, I did a self-reflection assessment. And the conclusion was that I had become a BORING person. Is it due to the boring work environment? Is it due to the boring social life? Or is it just me? And surprisingly, it's all link and it's quite true. When you had a feeeling of alienation when being among your most comfortable group of friends, the alarm has sounded. Quietness set in, withdrawal set in, depression set in. Funny thing is, I shared this feeeling of mine with a few people and somehow or rather it kinds of influence them to take a step back to look at their lives. Maybe all of us has been so busy with our own lives, works, family and many more, and we hardly stop to take a look at how are we living it. End of the day, do we live for living OR living to live?

ST came to DS1 for a week of rehearsal and today marked the last of it before it bump into DC. Went for the run yesterday at 4pm and sit thru the whole entire 2hrs15mins. How's the show? well, it's very much a black-box turn musical type of production where pushing the 'F" boundary is the most important and it's very much the director style of direction. Honestly, i realised that i do miss working with her and the team, i miss this kind of production, i miss the creativeness, i miss them, i really do.

Today we organised a camp for the student. Only 7 turned up. We expected it. At least, 4 of them were productive enough and the other 3 were just too shy. We managed to share some of our thoughts with them and end of the day they have showed some productive results. It's not all wasted, i hope. And they know what's their own problems were and they have promised to solve it. Let's have faith in them, trust them again and hopefully, they can make it work.

my day started as early as 0745hr today where I dashed out of my house for a rehearsal in town where I'm required to join in the process of mutating my fingers that i gave up half way thru and decided to sit in a corner to read the script after which i spent the afternoon at strip for some maintenance work and got myself a set of nice painted nails my evening was spent laughing for 3 solid hours bitching about celebs and norm of the daily life issues between friends and lastly here i am recording about my day off.

Another Accident

OK. Yes, I did it again. I think I am curse from driving a buggy. This time round I hit a pillar and broke the rear view mirror.What worst, I BROKE MIRROR early in the morning!!!!! Am I expecting bad karma for the next few days? Well, you can see, I'm trying hard not to believe the superstitious of bad luck coming my way for the next couple of years. So, I'm just going to think I'll have bad luck for the following 3 days then. And indeed, after which, things don't seems to be flowing well that day.This week was like my worst week of the entire festival. 3 days of shows and uncontrollable situation. Too many logistic and emotion to deal with. Oh well, handling human temper can be quite a challenge. In order not to sour the working relationships, you've got to keep your own temper down and give face to the other party. Oh well, we are in a time of needing each other so that the work can be done. So glad it's over.

Anyway, I here now announced my bad luck or karma has come to an end.... All will be well from now onwards.

Vandalism

What a way to start the day by vandalising school property! YES!
Well, it didn't happen intentionally, accident does happened.
The story goes ...

Phin supposed to be at work before 7am today cos she had to send off a visiting artist from Viennese. After much consideration on how to transport all the luggage from the hostel to the main road, she decided to take the buggy for a ride. What started as a nice morning ride turned out to be a 'hilarious' accident. You see, there is this gantry mechanism at the front of the hostel's carpark to kind of charge the parking fee. Well, being a buggy, there is no IU installed and thus it can't buzz thru the gantry. So, she has to drive really near to the curb where the space is just nice for 1 buggy size to pass thru. But luck wasn't on Phin side today as she tried to drive thru the gap, she broke the gantry. "Oops!" ... and continued to drive on. When the artist boarded the buggy, Phin said to her "Check out what I've done this morning!" and both broke out laughing. Phin started the engine and off she goes with the artist and her luggage. As for the broken gantry, its been cable tied back by the carpark attendance. Lucky!

In this story, no real person was hurt.

Retreat!

Oh my, time flies really quickly. Its the end of the work week again. For a moment, I don't recall how my monday, tuesday, wednesday & thursday have been. Am I really that busy at work? Yes, I think I was. Endless meetings and endless meetings and more endless meetings. But this week had been quite fun. Firstly, I went jogging with my colleague at the new A.Park beside the school after work. Nice park with this nature walk thingy. Well, I kinda suck at running cos I can't even finished half the round and I had to walk the rest of my way back to office. Nevertheless, I felt proud about myself. Next, I had to visit some schools at Yishun to check out their artwork and boy, I am impressed with the kind of work they produced. These kids are really good. Lastly, we had our little company retreat today at YSafraclub. Bowling in the morning, lunch & 8 balls in the afternoon. It was quite nice, bonding time for all and had loads of laughs. Oh yeah and I met some familiar faces at the venue too, zm's mom & a sec sch friend at the lunch place. Such a small world.

Orientation

I attended an 'orientation camp' a couple of days ago. It is a compulsory course that all new employee had to attend. Well, purpose of this is to allow all the new staffs to come together and work as a team and get to network and know your colleagues from other departments and schools. At first, I kinda dread the idea of attending cos being the only NEW kid on the block during that period, I don't have any kaki to hang out with and I personally was not really that sociable. Nevertheless, rather to postpone the moment, I decided to go for it. Set a good mindset and onwards I go! So, I was away from work to a 2 days 1 night 'holidays' at the heart of the city. The hotel was quite nice, nice clean room and of cos not forgetting the buffet spread. Every 2 hours we were fed with tea-breaks and heavy duty meals. After all, its not that bad. As for the training parts, honestly its quite fun and the best part was you could sabo all the directors and even the P and won't have to worry that you won't get fire the next minute, Or will I? Well, anyway the training has been quite entertaining, fun and tiring. Ok lah...

Oh well, managed to get some tickets to the music festival at fort canning park last weekend & the festival rocks. Its a nice place and I really miss it so much especially during August. Been there for the past 6 yrs during this time of the year just to put all energy & sweats for 1 festival, the reunion with the team and all the swearing, boozes & ciggy moments...Ah~~ ii memory ne~...Anyway, its good to see that this festival has kinda changed the trend a little that people here do party under the sun! Nice~

There's always so much to discuss during lunch, over tea-breaks about that person bootlicticking the master. And how's information are not shared when issues arises and fingers start flying all over the place. I'm quite bless that the team I am with are easy and hardworking lots and most importantly with OPEN heart and mind ready to accept new ideas and concept. Somehow or rather, within such a short period, I've experienced the POWER of 'COT' where the assessment of one's ability depends greatly on the level of trusts the master had in you and not on your actual work performance. But i believe, in such an environment, a personality will be tested, trained and polished to achieve a greater height.

Lazy weekend

Past few days had been quite hectic for me at work; loads of on going projects and new ones all coming in at the same time where the timeline are unbearably tight. Surprisingly, my 'body' & 'mental' state are still stuck in the period of 'slackism' and it kinda leads to lazy weekends momentum. I thought all the tight deadlines and loads of work can gear me up because of the new stress and the 'face' issue...but sad to say, it doesn't quite happen that way. Somehow or rather, I kinda let myself slided into my comfort zone of laziness and stared blankly at the TV screen over the weekends for hours. I'm supposed to move my butt and made my way to the gym which I've paid for but i didn't. And I'm supposed to cruise down east coast park with my new apex 7 wheels on a Sunday morning but i didn't. Instead, i find solace with the remote controller, switching from channel to channel over the weekends. I guess its just another lazy weekend, hopefully it don't happen too often.

Did some thinking yesterday. Why all these angst recently? PMS? hahahaha... Nah..guess you do not realised that the smallest thing happened can actually get you all jumpy and frustrated. Well, the feeling is much better today 'cos of the thoughts that happened last evening. Internal reflection, internal arguement, internally at peace.

Ok, blogging in the office where no one is around can be quite fun. Like doing illegal stuffs. Another illegal thing that I've done so far is to store a bottle of Vodka in my cupboard. I'm not a alcoholic, c'mon..sometime we do need to relac alittle, Happy Hour. Yum Seng!!! ~~

Finally the work has began...after 14 days of 'honeymoon-ing', the real thing kicks in 'hard' today. Actually, kinda glad it happen now or else my motor is getting a little rusty and it's hard to get the engine started. A good day started at 8am in school, understanding how's the marketing mechanism for arts platter work on-site during day of event. After which, SAFmeeting kicks in and suddenly I have 5 new main projects to take care of. Very excited but not sure if the budget is good enough to bring in some really good acts that I want to do. Next, the real presentation of arts platter and I am 'overwhelmed' ... Yes... that's the words to describe the act I see that was put up by the student. Not at all close to super star quality but very self-indulgence. Hahah.. and I must give credit to that boy cos he is really bad but entertaining at the same time. Very unbearable to hear him sing ... yet its really FUNNIE!!! ... Follow on was another meeting with an external hirer and finally the last meeting of the day is to meet my 'children'. Yes .. I'm now an advisor or 'TEACHER' or 'Cher' as what the student likes to call us... a solid 2 hour meeting to brief through this half year projects plan and their proposal. Interesting lots of children. Some bubbly, some quiet but quite enthu'. And the day ended at 8pm. A solid 12 hrs .. haha.. quite exhausting but rewarding. Glad I can impart some of my knowledge to the next generation.

Hmm...Induction Programme. An 'interesting' 2 day session of introduction to the culture of the organisation. All i can say is 'I ALMOST DIED' during the session. Yes, it was so ... so .... so ... BORING! Not at all interesting because No. 1: the speakers are not very entertaining, No. 2: the speakers are defensive, No. 3: the topics are very DRY! I feel it is a waste of time. They should just put everything in 1 full day session on the day you report to work and get it over and done with. Why do they have to make us suffer now? Why? ... Anyway, there is Day 2 tomorrow and I hope it will be more interesting.

Ok, a recap of my past weeks of thoughts and activities: Culturally entertaining, creatively inspiring and mentally exciting. Caught a few productions which were still quite bearable and 'eye-opening'. There are some exhibitions and production which I really like to catch but I do not have the time to do so. Anyway, I've visit the ZOO at my workplace. Hahaa....and I'm officially the new member now. Not sure if I'll be visiting it that often but I hope not. Don't think I will turn it into a habit. Managed to 'bond' a little with my co-workers and starting to be involve in my work now. That actually make me quite a happy person. And yes, I'm helping out in a special talents audition that will be happening this Saturday. Quite excited about it 'cos its going to be public. Just like those 'sg idol' type of scale publicity drive for an upcoming musercus production. And lastly, rollerblading session had come to an end for season 1, and I'm proud to say that I still know my skills well even though i stop for so many years. Now, I've master more skills and confident!

HELP

'HELP' - aid, assist, support
As the meaning of HELP depict an action of warmth and humanity
But does it really occur in our society with sincerity?
Maybe or not totally.

Or should I put it, depending who you are referring to
Recently I encounted an incident, especially in the industry that I m currently working in
'HELP' is a common word we used and usually most help were answered by kind souls
And all the helps rendered will be appreciated and remembered
In case or in near future, it can be return

Some how some where, some people do not relate to such equation
When some people in need of help, their cries are being answered by kind person
But when kind person in need of a little support from some people
Some people just turn kind person away
Such attitude, such idiotic excuse is not highly recommended in this industry
Sad to say, some people do not learn no matter how many years they are in this industry

So, what should we do?
Teach them? or axe them?

Is there a choice?
Sad to say, there is none.

Yes, it's DAY 19 of my so-called holiday
Looking back, I didn't really do anything productive
Except catching 3 arts performances last weekend
One from Germany, One from Portugal & One from France

Oh yes, I finally took up lesson for blading... 1st session was last Sunday
Damned.. it sure feel good sliding around in those wheels again ...
Yes, friends will scold me for wasting money cos I already knew how to blade.. haa..
Of cos, I do know how to move and slow down to stop and that's all I know..but attending lessons is different
You get to learn moves and techniques and the rest of it is practice and practice...
Ever since I stopped blading for 8yrs and as age catching up
I seriously afraid of falling and breaking those old bones of mine
Remember those good old days when blading was like a regular weekend gathering for 3 solid yrs
No idea why it suddenly died off.. guess we all grown up and priorities are different then
" NO TIME" is always a good excuse
But I'm serious and determine to finish the course and I want to learn Blade Hockey after that ..
its like a dream for me...Been wanting to learn blade hockey...

Oh well, I am not that unproductive after all....
Just that I've been productively spending money ... signing up for class for this and that .. haha

Suppose to work on a CI design after receiving the brief from the client last week
but I'm experiencing brain block/creativity dysfunction ... argh~ (pissed!)

A couple of days ago, I realised that my 1st blog was dated sometime in October 2006. Afterwhich, a couple of post were added and that was the last since.

Today, I've created phincity and hopefully it will last abit longer, hopefully. :D
